April 26, 2017: Former New England Patriots star and convicted murderer Aaron Hernandez loved ones attended a private funeral this afternoon in his hometown of Bristol, Connecticut on April 24. Hernandez died on April 19, found hanging from a bedsheet in his cell at the Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley, Massachusetts, the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office said. His death was ruled a suicide. After the funeral Aaron’s lawyer held a brief press conference across the street from the funeral home.
Because of Hernandez’s death, his conviction has been overturned – and his wife Shayanna Jenkins Hernandez may be entitled to the $15M he was owed from the New Emgland Patriots. Additionally, it will be very difficult for anyone to sue him for wrongful death – because his murder conviction was overturned.
It’s sad to lose a loved one, but she now may be entitled to MILLIONS.
