August 10, 2017: An 11-year-old
girl is struggling to recover from TERRIBLE injuries she received this
weekend when a “jealous” friend threw boiling water on her at a
sleepover.
Jamoneisha Merritt is currently in a
hospital in Harlem, New York. Doctors say that she suffered
second-degree burns on her head and shoulders. Jamoneisha’s face,
shoulders and back are severely burned and have skin missing.
The girl’s family shared photographs of her grimacing and screaming in pain with NBC New York.
So who did this to her? Well, police arrested a 12-year-old attacker.
Jamoneisha was at a sleepover at a friend’s family home in The Bronx, where a number of girls were present.
Jamoneisha got into an argument with one of the girls right before
bed – and the girl threatened Jamoneisha not to fall asleep, saying she
would “do something.”
The girl poured boiling water into a cup and allegedly threw it on Jamoneisha.
