One of his friends fled through a back window, but he said Calvin Carter caught him outside. He then allegedly forced his hostage to go back and let him in the front door. Once inside, Feeney says Carter demanded his cellphone. But when he handed it over, he grabbed the gunman and another friend joined him. In the struggle, Feeney was shot in the upper leg. T
he group of teenagers then held Carter on the ground until police arrived on the scene. Tucker Williams, who helped restrain Carter, said: “He kept wrestling with me, I was like ‘you have one more chance please stop.’ He wouldn’t stop and that’s when I punched him in the eye twice.”
Carter was taken into custody and has been charged with 1st Degree Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault, Felony Reckless Endangerment, Especially Aggravated Burglary. Following the incident Feeney went to the hospital to be treated for the non-life threatening injury.
